Belgrade Fashion Week | Spring/Summer 2026

Covering Belgrade Fashion Week for Fashion Gins marked my first real immersion into the Balkans and its fashion landscape.

What interested me most was not only the clothes themselves, but what they revealed about Serbia, its culture, its aesthetics, and the particular balance between tradition, defiance, and resilience that seems to shape so much of the region.

Throughout the week, I became familiar with both emerging and more established regional voices, while also spending time around local editors, creatives, and other industry insiders. It was a valuable opportunity to better understand the local industry from within, rather than simply observe it from the outside.

The project included photography, short-form video content for social media, live coverage, and a written blog entry reflecting on the week as a whole. More than anything, it reinforced my interest in using fashion as a lens through which to understand place, identity, and culture.
