Budapest Central European Fashion Week Coverage

Project type

Multimedia Event Coverage

Date

February 2025

Location

Budapest, Hungary

Through coverage for Fashion Gins and The Citizen's Poste, I focused not only on the collections themselves, but on the wider cultural significance of Central Europe's fashion scene, a region that often exists outside the industry's traditional spotlight despite its immense creative value.

My reporting explored the intersection of fashion, identity, craftsmanship, and sustainability, highlighting both established names and emerging designers from across the region. Alongside runway moments, I also documented the atmosphere surrounding the week itself, from backstage details to the city's role as a backdrop for this growing creative ecosystem.

This project became an important step in showcasing the kind of coverage I want to create: fashion journalism that goes beyond trend reporting and instead looks at what fashion says about a place, its people, and the moment it exists within.
