Dubai, U.A.E

Dubai was never part of the original plan. Coming from Mexico, the UAE felt impossibly far away, almost like another world entirely. My first glimpse into it came through classmates from my master's, and then somehow, in the strange way life tends to unfold, I found myself visiting Dubai and Abu Dhabi for the first time.

I still remember passing through Media City and thinking how iconic it would be to work there one day. Less than a year later, I was relocating to do exactly that.

My time in Dubai was shaped largely by my work with ITP Media Group, particularly writing for Harper's Bazaar Arabia. Through features, fashion week coverage, cultural commentary, and interviews, I had the opportunity to sharpen my editorial voice while working within one of the region's most influential fashion media landscapes.

Beyond writing, this chapter also included assisting on a cover shoot for Harper's Bazaar Junior, contributing to a campaign with Marks & Spencer through styling, covering Dubai Fashion Week, interviewing designers, and creating social content both for Harper's Bazaar Arabia and Fashion Gins.

Dubai taught me a different kind of ambition. It is a city that moves quickly, thinks big, and constantly pushes you to rise to the level of the opportunities around you.
